SCANeRTM studio Motorsport is dedicated to race cars of any category: circuit, rally, oval.
Our experience in race car performance computation dates back to 1988 with SERA-CD's "TOUR" lap time simulation software used for the Peugeot 905 at Le Mans.
TOUR and CALLAS where merged in 1998 to create CALLAS Motorsport. This software is based on a strong experience in complex and realistic laptime simulation (not only simple steady-state computing)

Specific tools are available to fit the needs of motorsport professionals.
Basic LAPTIME :
The target is to compute in 40 seconds the lap time performance with a 3D car model, to help define the pre-meeting initial setup, and the basic factors for performance.
Advanced LAPTIME :
The advanced simulation is fully dynamic to address most values of the pre-meeting and trackside setup sheets.
The advanced Lap time simulation uses the real ground profile, including curb and roughness. This feature helps finding the right compromise for vertical suspension stiffness, where simpler models suggest you lock the suspension and are misleading about realistic setup. The driver control is fully dynamic, then steering and pedal activities provide realistic handling and drivability evaluation.
Basic SETUP :
The target is to compare the simulation model back to back with the real world data acquisition, experimentally identify any car parameter (like real drag, real down force), and understand what is wrong in the model and in the car.
Basic setup is the best way to complete data acquisition with 1000 variables and reach a deep understanding of the handling. Basic setup can also be used to check the data logger (sensor problems: failure, calibration, units…): a specific diagnostic is included. Data exchange applications are included. SCANeRTM studio Motorsport has the same export possibilities as SCANeRTM studio Car: users can analyze the simulation results with their favorite software.

Advanced SETUP :
The target is to improve handling on a key-problem, and then improve the laptime.
By using SCANeRTM studio Car’ extensive possibilities, the vehicle can be tested in realistic situations: full dynamic simulation with wind, rough road, specific ground grip, soft ground… Balance defects or instabilities can be fixed and drivability can be improved.
Powerful optional tools are available for parametric exploration or suspension design.
